The contractor

Buying a new apartment in Israel is firstly choosing the right contractor.

In order to avoid bad surprises, here are pieces of advice aimed at checking the reputation and the financial situation of the contractor:

Advice no. 1: Try visiting the site of the building project, check out the building development, the features and quality of the already built apartments, speak to other buyers or neighbors. The inquiries will enable you to gather valuable information on the contractor.

Advice no.2: Check out other building projects of the contractor. Appreciate the quality of the buildings. Find out whether the contractor fulfilled his commitments.

Advice no. 3: Try to find out the contractor's financial situation. Have a look at his internet site. Search the main business sites in Israel:  Globes and The Marker have an English version.

Advice no. 4: Ask your friends and your professional contacts in Israel. Speaking to your banker in Israel may be a good idea.
