Before starting a business in Israel,
you must file applications or statements with the authorities,
as
follows:
- Filing
with the VAT offices. A
business of sale or purchase of
goods or of provision of services must be declared before beginning of
operations. The documents to be filed include identity papers or legal
condition of the business' owner, location of the business, identity
details of
the managers and field of activity.
- Filing
with the income tax offices. A
similar statement must be
filed, with a special form, before beginning of operations.
- Filing
with Social Security is also
required. A special form is
designed for this purpose.
- Opening
of a separate bank account.
- Accounts
and payment of provisional tax amounts. Consulting
with an
accountant or a CPA is strongly advised, due to the complex accounting
rules
and the necessity to pay provisional tax amounts.
You also need to choose the appropriate business structure to conduct business in Israel.
